BURNSIDE SALE

FAT CATTLE EASIER Fat Cattle. —A large yarding of 350 head was forward. There were some outstanding bullocks in the entry, and quite a fair percentage of good average cattle. Taken all over the entry could be classed as better than has been for some time. The average quality of the cow and heifer section was also above the ordinary. The sale was an erratic one, and can generally be quoted easier for all descriptions by 10s per head. In a few cases, however, where particularly prime beef was offered, last week's rates were maintained. The sale was a dragging one, and at the commencement passings were frequent. Values were: Extra prime show bullocks, to £l4 7s Cd; extra prime heavy bullocks, £9 10s to £ll 7s 6d; prime heavy, £S to £9 ss; prime medium, £G 15s to £7 15s; lighter, £4 to £G 10s; best cows and heifers, £5 to £0 js; medium, £3 )0s to £4 10s; lighter, £1 10s to £3.
