DAIRY MARKETING CONDITIONS

EVIDENCE BEFORE COMMISSION. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 22. Marketing!- questions . were dealt with in the evidence {given before the Dairy Commission to-day. _ The witnesses were Mr C. H. Andrews, of Messrs J; B. Macewan and Co., Ltd., and Mr G. A. The London County Council has its own flock of prize sheep. On its wage list are men with such varied occupations as greasers; chaplains, rat-catchers, river pilots, blacksmiths, and three-pruners. At Belmont, Surrey, the London County Council owns a wonderful lamboratoiy where a staff of 20 chemists under the supervision of three doctors spend their time manufacturing anti-toxin serums for diphtheria, smallpox, and other contagious diseases.
