CHINA'S FUTURE
RECONSTRUCTION SCHEMES AUTHORISED BY THE LEAGUE (United Prese Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) GENEVA, May 18. Ignoring Japan's objections, the China Committee of the League of Nations authorised Herr Rajchmaun- to continue the reconstruction schemes on the lines of his report. Dr Wellington Koo said it was China's inalienable right to choose assistance wherever she desired. Dr Rajchmaun, the League's technical agent in Chma, recommended an extension of the League's activities there, including the improvement of irrigation, agriculture, and roads, and general reconstruction, preceded by co-ordination with the existing establishment. Commenting on Dr Rajchmann's report, the foreign spokesman for Japan said Dr Rajclimann was in the guise of a technical expert, but was nothing but a political agent, and as a result he was a most unfortunate representative of the League.
