RATEPAYERS APPROVE LOAN. (From Oub Own Correspondent.) LAWRENCE, May 9. ’ The poll of ratepayers taken to-day regarding the proposal to raise a loan of £2500 to pull down the present town hall and erect a new one on another site resulted in the proposal being endorsed by a large majority, 168 voting in favour, of it and 43 against. Of, a total of 295 on the roll 213 voted, two informal votes being cast.
