The following is the official weather forecast : Pressure Is still very high to the east of New Zealand. A small cyclonic depression Is centred north-west of North Cape, and a low pressure trough extends southwards from It across the eastern Tasman. Indications are for: Strong north-easterly to northerly winds, reaching gale force In parts of the far north, backing later to the west and south-west in far southern districts. She was to sail yesterday for Wanganui, Lyttelton, Napier, Gisborne, and Wellington to complete. The vessel is to leave Wellington finally on May 23 for XiOndon, via Capo Horn. In ballast from London, via the Capo of Good Hope and Sydney, the Shaw, Snvlll steamer Mahia reached Nelson last Sunday morning lo commence Homeward loading. She was to sail yesterday for Auckland and Wellington to complete. The vessel Is to leave Wellington finally on May 12 for London, via the Panama canal. The Walpahi left Auckland on Tuesday for Newcastle and Sydney to load for Fiji, Nukualofa, Suva, and Auckland. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS. Poolta, which arrived yesterday morning from Wellington, sailed last night for Oamaru. Timaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Napier and Gisborne. Waimarino is due at Dunedin this morning from Auckland, via ports. She will sail this afternoon for Bluff. Oplhi Is duo hero to-morrow morning from Wellington to load general cargo. She will sail the same day for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth, via ports. Storm, left Wanganui on Tuesday night for Port Chalmers with a full cargo of wool for transhipment to the Hertford. Duo to-morrow morning, the Storm will afterwards come to Dunedin to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Plcton, and Wanganui. Antonio, after discharging a part cargo of newsprint from Nova Scotia, sailed yesterday morning for Bluff to complete discharge. Port Whangarel Is due at Dunedin to-day from northern ports. She Is timed to sail this evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington to complete loading for Tauranga, Auckland, and Whangarel. Gale has been fixed to load at Dunedin on
May 8 for Tlmaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. CITY OP TOKIO DELAYED. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the City of Tokio, which was delayed at Wellington, was to sail yesterday for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She Is now due at this port to-morrow, and after discharging cargo from New York will sail for Sydney to complete discharge. HERTFORD TO LOAD. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal Line steamer Hertford Is due at Port Chalmers this evening from Wellington to load wool, frozen meat, and dairy produce. She Is scheduled to sail on Tuesday for Halifax, London, and west of England ports, via Panama. PORT HOBART FROM LIVERPOOL. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co. advise that the C. and D. Line motor ship Port Hobart Is due at Dunedin to-morrow morning from Liverpool, via northern ports, to discharge general cargo. She will sail later for New Plymouth to complete discharge. MOTOR SHIP. ELMBANK. The motor ship Elmbank, which discharged a part cargo of phosphates at the Ravensbourne wharf, will unload the remainder of her freight at the Birch street wharf. She Is expected to sail to-morrow for Nauru Island. TARANAKI FROM LONDON. Advice received by the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company states that the motor ship Taranaki arrived at Suva on Tuesday afternoon from London. She Is to sail this morning for this port, and should arrive off the Heads on Monday evening. The Taranaki Is expected to berth at Dunedin on Tuesday morning. TAINUI AT AUCKLAND. From London and Southampton, via Kingston and the Panama canal, the Shaw, Savill liner Tainui arrived at Auckland early on Monday morning. She Is to leave Auckland on Saturday for Wellington to complete discharge.
PERSONAL ITEM. Replacing Captain A. Thomson, who died at sea on April 17, Captain H. D. Rudd, former chief officer, has been appointed master of the Fife. Mr J. A. PORT WELLINGTON LOADING. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Wellington arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday morning from Bluff, and was berthed at the George street wharf to load wool for London. The vessel left London on March S for New Zealand. Coming out by the Panama route fair weather was experienced on the voyage, and (lie ship arrived at Wellington on April 13. From Wellington she proceeded to Lyttelton and Bluff. Captain It. Needham is In command of the Port Wellington, and his officers are;—Chief. Mr A. E. Fish wick; second, Mr E. Uogerson; third, Mr A. Knell; fourth, Mr R. Russell; wireless, Mr T. Shannon; chief engineer, Mr E. C. Lynd: second. Mr .1. Matheson; third. Mr T. Playlc: fourth, Mr C. Juillien; fifth, Mr J. P.ca; sixth, Mr J. Rlain; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr J. Robertson: second, Mr R. Edge; chief steward, Mr F. Styles. The Port Wellington Is to sail to-day for New Plymouth and Wellington lo complete loading. CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA. The Gabrlella left Auckland on Monday for Greymoutb to load for Wellington and Wanganui, thence lo Greymoutb to load for Sydney. She will then load at Newcastle and Sydney for Wanganui. The Kalingo, from Clarence River, was to leave Newcastle yesterday for Sydney lo complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Greymoutb. Tiie Karepo, from Greymoutb, is due at Melbourne to-day. Ibent-e to Adelaide lo complete discharge. She will then load at Edllhlmrgh, Adelaide, and Melbourne for New I'hniouib, Auckland, ami Wellington. The Kartigi is to leave Auckland about the end of this week for Westport and Greymoutb to load for Melbourne and Newcastle.
WINTER CRUISE. A winter cruise to the South Sea Islands Is being arranged by the Union Steam Ship Company, leaving Auckland about August 7 and calling at Friendly Islands, Samoa, ,Nluafoou Island, Levuka, and Suva. The steamer will bo the Manama, which has alorady established herself as a favourite cruise steamer. The vessel will return to Auckland about August 23.
