CONFERENCE WITH GOVERNMENT
NO DECISIONS YET REACHED {Special to Dailt Times.) WELLINGTON, March 22. The question o£ sending a delegation to the United Kingdom in connection with the present difficulties of the dairying industry. was among the subjects discussed between members of the Cabinet and the Dairy Produce Control Board at meetings held to-day. No finality was reached and when the conference adjourned tonight the Prime Minister, Mr Forbes, said he had no communication to make to the press beyond a statement that the discussions would be resumed again tomorrow morning. The conversations now taking place between the Government and the_ board are the outcome of the recent Dairy Conference which was held in Wellington with a view to devising some practical method of giving assistance to those engaged in the industry. At that conference a resolution urging that the question of sending a delegation to England be referred to the Dairy Board in conference with the Government was moved by Mr William Goodfellow and seconded by Mr B. Dawes and carried. In addition to the n*embera of the Government and the Dairy Board there were present at the conference departmental experts and officials of the board. The parties met in the morning and then adjourned until 4 p.m., the board meeting separately in the interval. The afternoon session lasted until 7 p.m. The discussions will be resumed to-morrow morning at 10.30 o’clock.
