JAPANESE NAVAL BASE
REPLY TO SINGAPORE

A writer in the Daily Express declares that Japan, in reply to Singapore, is busy in Siam prospecting the narrow isthmus of Km with a view to cutting a small canal which would he nominally Siamese, but in reality a Japanese naval base.
