SWIMMING
UNIVERSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS KEEN INTEREST DISPLAYED The Otago University swimming championships were held in the Municipal Baths last evening, when there was a fair attendance. The swimming was of a fairly good standard, although no records were broken, and in addition to the University competitions several interclub events were beld. The University entries were particularly good, and' keen interest was taken in the races, especially the relay races. An exhibition of diving by R. 0. Johnson and P. E. Mathicson was a popular feature of the carnival, and an amusing innovation was a Tub Race.
