KINEMA EMPLOYEES

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —At the present time we hear a lot of groaning from unemployed about the hard conditions they live under. Well, here is something that may open the eyes of some people. A certain picture theatre is at present employing a page boy, who is over sixteen, at the rate of ten shillings per week. The boy is on duty from 10 o'clock in the morning till 10.30 at night. He also has as a friend the assistant operator, who, strange to say. does three sessions for the same wage. I think that these conditions should be brought to the knowledge of the public.—l am, etc., . Disgusted.
