NEW RECORD FOR GIRLS

(Pee United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 13

Miss Edna Rainey, aged 16 years, lowered Miss P. Robertson’s 100 yards New Zealand swimming record for intermediate girls from 05 3-sscc to 05 l-ssec to-night. Miss Rainey’s time was only l-ssec slower than the time in which Miss Barbara Lcwin won the Auckland Senior Ladies’ Championship last mouth, and 2-ssec outside Miss M. Farquhar’s New Zealand senior record.
