SPLITTING WORLD MARKETS JAPAN NOT FAVOURABLE. LONDON, March 13. (Received March 14, at 0.15 a.m.) Messages received in Manchester from Osaka state that Japanese textile interests have instructed the delegation in London to the effect that the Lancashire proposal to split world markets into five areas (the British Empire, Australasia, the Japanese Empire, South America, and other countries) is not acceptable.
