' ,v ' ‘ • VALUES ■ The average of 27 samples taken by Sir James Hector was 16/6 per yard. Two of these were hulk tlsts of ever 100 yards. Eighteen samples taken by Mr H. S. Open cut produced 4 ozs. from 120 loads =to 1 dwt. 8 grs. per yard. No. 3. A tunnel 70ft x 4ft x Bft, or 80 loads, produced 18 ozs. = to 7 dwts. per yard. A load is approximately f yard.
