(Received March 7, at 5.5 p.m.) The most marked revival in employment last month took place in; the building industry; The Ministry of Labour returns show that thetotal number of persons in employment was 67,000 more than, in January and the total registered unemployed 71,150 lower than in the preceding month. The buUding industry accounted for a return to work pi mora than 26,000 men. The total employed in this trade was 89,000 more than at the corresponding date last'.year. A favourable indication for the immediate future of metal industries is the increase in employment in iron and steel manufacture, which fell off in January and improved later in the general-engineering and - motor vehicle industries.' 'An interesting feature is that, unemployment declined in every division last month, although in the riorth-eastcrri division, owjng to the state of the Coal industry, the decline was small. -. ,""■','•
