The signal box that the Great Western Railway has built for its new station at Cardiff is one of the most wonderful in the world. Everything in it is worked' by electricity, and only two men are needed to control 339 levers. Duplicate diagrams of the station’s layout are installed showing the complete circuits with all movements marked by , red lights. The signalmen can communicate with every part of the station and yard by telephone.
