MOSGIEL SCHOOL COMMITTEE
Six committeemen attended* last' night's meeting of the Mosgiel District High School Committee, Mr O. Rutherford presiding. ' • A report was presented to the meeting covering the visit to the school of the Minister of Education (Mr R. Masters). The Minister had expressed his satisfaction with the work going on in and around the school. He made special reference to the school gardens, which he classed as the best he had seen at any school on his tour. —It was decided to place on record in the minutes the remarks of the Minisr. ter, as quoted. _ . ■ ■ v; Accounts totalling £l3 10s 9a : weye passed for payment. The Rev. Mr Graham and Mr were appointed a Visiting Conimittee for the month. . . The request of the Otago Methodist Young Men’s Bible Class Union for , the use of the school for the Easter encampment was granted on the usual terms. The Visiting Committee reported that a icadway was being formed the school football ground. Inquiry had been made about the formation of a croquet lawn near the gymnasium.—lt was decided to leave the matter of a covering of ashes or gravel for the roadway in the hand# o*' the Works Committee and to pass on the information that the committee did not view with favour the proposal regarding a croquet lawn. .. . . , It was reported that the dental incendent had visited the school dlitinj? the month and had found all matters in connection with the clinic to his satisfaction. ■ ■ 1
