(From Our Own Correspondent.) KUROW, March 5.
Chief Ranger Bro. B. T. Appleby presided over a fair attendance of members at the monthly meeting of Court Pride of Waitaki,, The woodwards reported that there were no members on the sick list. A fair amount of discussion took place regarding the mixed court, and it was decided to invite the District Executive to Kurow on Marrh 24 to install officers and initial now lady members. Other arrangements were left in the hands of the secretary. One new member was nominated. DEFENCE RIFLE SHOOTING.
The weekly shoot of the Y.M.O.A. Hydro Defence Rifle Club was fired over the 200 and 300 yards ranges. There was a light changeable westerly breeze and the targets were inclined to be hazy at times, this being more pronounced at 300 yards. Scores: —
Rfm. H. Petterson won the first prize, and R. F. Taylor the second. The Wright weekly button was won by Rfm. E. F. Taylor.
