PICNIC

LABOUR PARTY BRANCHES. The Dunedin South and Green Island branch of the New Zealand Labour Party held their combined annual picnic at Chisholm Park. A cricket match and a tug-of-war between the two branches created a great deal of interest. The Dunedin South branch was again the winner of the cricket shield, and this year it. was also successful in -winning the tug-of-war shield. The cup for the Ladies' Relay Race was retained by the Green Island branch. A programme of races was carried out during the afternoon, and the prizes were presented by Mr F. Jones, M.P.
