THE OTAGO ROWING CLUB

j TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — I have to thank your correspondent “Lurline” for drawing ray attention to a slight error in my reference to the first site of the Otago Rowing Club. The boatshed, when I first knew it, was resting- on a punt on a site that has since been*, reclaimed and built on. This was not far from, but slightly to the west of, the end of thq Rattray street wharf. The position the club occupied when 1 first joined it was at the end of the Jetty street wharf, where one of the Harbour Board sheds now stands, at the corner of the Kitchener street wharf. 1 That the Otago Club sold the shed to the Telegraph Club is news to me, as I never heard it before.—l am, etc., / . J. M'Grath. President Otago Rowing Club. Dunedin, February 23.
