DIVORCE WANTED
MARY PICKFORD’S SUIT HEARING ON MARCH 1. SAN FRANCISCO, February 16. Mary Pickford’s suit for divorce against her husband, Douglas Fairbanks, has been put on the list for hearing in Los Angeles on March 1. . _ In her complaint, filed on December 9, the actress said her husband had been indifferent toward her since June, 15,30. For 10 years before that they had been inseparable companions. Lord Ashley, eldest son and heir of the ninth Earl of Shaftesbury, is suing for a divorce from his wife, formerly Miss Sylvia Hawkes, musical comedy actress, whom he married in 1927. Douglas Fairbanks is named as co-respondent.
