Lang by 41 .points to 36 after an interesting struggle. The holders received two in the handicapping. Late last week M'Kerchar and Mrs Walker defeated N. D. Murray and ..Miss D. E. Parkhill by exactly' the same score and also received, the same number in the handicapping. It- is understood that the defeated pairs are going to play off. The final matches of the Eastern District Lawn Tennis Sub-association's A Grade Competition’ for 1933-34 were played yesterday in fine, weather. By beating Shag Point, Waikouaiti holds the cup for the season. • ■■ *
Palmerston arid Goodwood-Flag . Swamp met at Palmerston, the' home team winnmg by II sets (109 games) to five sets (78 games). Palmerston won the Men’s Singles and Doubles, .and most of the Mixed Doubles. Mrs Walker, Messrs G. W. Thomson. C; F. Arnold, nnd D. S. ■ M‘Knight (Palmerston) and Miss P. Cullen (Goodwood-Flag went through the day-undefeated. -
