THE WEATHER
Variable weather prevailed in Duncdin yesterday. The sky was overcast in the morning, but the sun made a welcome appearance in the afternoon. A moderate to fresh south-east wind was blowing, and the maximum temperature was 04 degrees. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. ( (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, February 22. , Ideal summer weather prevailed this morning, but the sky became overcast in the afternoon. There was a light northeasterly breeze after mid-day. The barometer remained steady above normal. WELLINGTON, February 22. After a cloudy and threatening early morning following light, misty rain, the weather became fine. The temperature, however, was unseasonably low. A moderate wind blew from the southeast. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 57.3, the maximum for the day being 60.0. CHRISTCHURCH, February 22. The weather was fine and sunny today. The wind was a light southerly in'the morning, but changed to easterly in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 00 degrees.
