MANCHESTER UNITY

There was a very large attendance at the fortnightly meeting of Loyal Daltou Lodge, held at Balclutha. Visiting members were present from the Princess Elizabeth Lodge. N.G. Bro. F. Crutchley presided. Four members were declared on the funds and four off, while two maternity claims were passed for payment. An invitation was received to pay an official visit to Loyal Milton Lodge on February 26, arrangements for this being left in the hands of G.M; Bro. Dunn. Some 40 members signified their intention of making the visit, thus ensuring a good representation from the local lodges. Nine candidates were initiated into the Order, the initiation ceremony being creditably carried out by the officers. Four further propositions for membership were also received. At the conclusion of lodge business a short dance was held, to the music supplied by Bro. A. Dawson.
