Whilst Patrick Wallace, aged 17 years, was rabbit shooting with his brother and sister at Kowhai, near Kaikoura, this evening he was shot through the temple with a .22 rifle with which he had been shooting. He died while being taken to hospital. —* . A SEAMAN INJURED While walking on the deck of the steamer Elmbank, which was discharging phosphate at the Birch street wharf yesterday afternoon, Chang On Sen, a donkeyman on the vessel, aged 45, was knocked over by one of the buckets used in unloading, and fell on to the wharf. He was later admitted to Hospital suffering from back injuries and a fractured elbow.
