BULL IN A HOUSE
FAMILY BADLY SCARED ANIMAL LEFT IN POSSESSION. (Per United Press Association.) STRATFORD, December 14. A bull from a mob being driven along the street charged through the open gate of Mr M. E. Sharrock*B residence and entered the house, giving Mrs Sharrock and her three young children a severe fright. When the bull followed their hasty retreat from room ,to room they were in considerable danger. The children —aged two, three, and four years—scrambled from the back door in panic when the bull appeared almost at their heels, and rushed to their mother, who was working in the kitchen. The animal halted a moment in the doorway, giving Mrs Sharrock time to hurry the children into one of the front rooms.' The bull -followed, snorting and stamping, and the frightened occupants retreated into another room, flora which, there was no other ’egress. Mrs Sharrock turned to the open window, lifted the children to the ground, and then climbed out herself. The animal, possibly more bewildered than savage, submitted to the drover, who managed to take his charge safely out of doors. Meanwhile the shaken family had .taken refuge with a neighbour.
