PLATEAU WINS THE GUP THE STAKES TO POMP. (Per United Press Association.) . FEILDING, November 30. The first , day of the Feilding Jockey Club’s meeting was held in good weather, and a fairly large crowd witnessed interesting racing. There were no serious accidents, though there were two falls in the Hurdle Race. The totalisator handled £9427, compared with £9768 10s last year. ' Following are the results:— WAITUNA HURDLES, Of lOOsovs. One mile and a-half; and 130 yards. 4/4—AIR LADDIE, 9.0 (M'Crae) .. 1 1/I—RUANUI, 9.9 (Nicol) .. .. .. 2 5/6—MARCH ALONE, 9.0 (Tucker) 3 Also started: 6/5 Mister Gamp 10.11, 2/2 Manuiri 10.8, 3/3 Million 10.1, When the field settled down Million and Ruanui were in front. Ruanui led through the straight by four lengths from Million, Air Laddie, and Manuiri. Round the turn Air Laddie, Million, and Manuiri went to the. front. Manuiri fell half a mile from home, and Air Laddie led from Million to the home turn, where Million took the lead, but at the last fence -Million foil. Ruanui had the lead, but Air Laddie finished fast and won by a neck, with half a head between second and third. The start was delayed as Eka Tere would not face the barrier, and was left. Widden was first out and then came Te Rangitumau and Aweketira .together. Widden led into the straight, with Wyndale and Cortegd close up. Cortege, went away and won easily by three length, with a head between second and third. Time, Imin 15 l-ssec. First across the top iqto the straight was Count Palatine, but ne was immediately challenged by Fairway. Morris) 3 Also started: 4/4 Souchong 9.0, 5/3 Slippery 8.8, 3/5 Farmer 7.7, §/7 Lady Nan 7.5, 7/8 Seafox 7.0. First out were Lady Nun and Slippery, with Equitant well back. Souchong led Lady Nan across the top and into the home turn, with Farmer, Royal Routine, Slippery, and Equitant in that order. Coming up the straight Routine looked likely to win, but Equitant came through on the rails nicely and won easily by almost a length. Cadland was half a length behind Routine. Time, Imin 13sec. FITZROY HACK HANDICAP, Of llOsovs. Seven furlongs. 2/2—DOLLAR PRINCE, 8.1 (Carroll) 1 5/6—TIGER GAIN, 8.10 2 9/9—HEADMASTER, 8.4 , (B. H. Morris) 3 Also started: 1/1 Avnyril 9.0, 3/3 Catalogue 8.5, 7/7 Etiquette 8.5, 8/8 Acceptable 8.4, 6/5 Pheon 8.3, 4/4 Land Tax 7.9. 11/11 Boon 7.9, 12/12 Ralphyllis 7.8, 10/10 Royal Passion 7.6. From a good start Headmaster led out from Dollar Prince, Etiquette, and Royal Passion. The order was unchanged into the. straight, with Tiger Gaia seventh.

Hollar Prince was challenged by Tiger Gain and just won, with Headmaster a length away third. Time, Imin 13 4-ssec.
