(Received Nov. 4, at 0.30 a.m.) In the opening Sheffield Shield match against New 'South Wales Queensland in their first innings scored 183 (C. Andrews 59, Bensted 70). _ O’Reilly was in great form and took six for 58, M'Cabe two for 33, and Mair two for 39. New South Wales in their first innings scored 66 for no wickets (Finglcton not out 40, Brown not out 23). - MATCH AT ADELAIDE, GRIMMETT IN GOOD FORM. ADELAIDE, November 3. (Received Nov. 4, at 0.30 a.m.) In a Shield match against South Australia, Victoria in their first innings scored 197 (Ponsford 1, Woodfull 52, O’Brien 49, Rigg 30, Bromley 28; Grimmett seven for ‘BO.
South Australia in their first innings have lost one wicket for 77 (Nitschke not out 38. Richardson 32, Lonergan not out 5).
