A BARQUE OVERDUE

BODY OF SEAMAN FOUND LONDON, November 2. The barque. Parma, which sailed for Australia ou October 4, has not been spoken since. A seaman’s body, wearing one of the Parma’s lifebelts, was washed ashore at Deauville (France) on October 28, Apparently it had been in the water for about 25 days. The Parma carried two passengers (Commander Bircham, who is seeking sailing data for the Admiralty, and his wife). The agents do not fear for the safety of the Parma. They think that the man may have been washed overboard, and that his rescue was impracticable owing to the rough seas.
