CHARGED WITH THEFT. TWO NEW 'ZEALANDERS. SYDNEY, November 3. (Received Nov. 4. at 0.15 a.m.) Before the City Court to-day Terence Nixon, aged 22, a clerk, and Cyril Hankins, aged 25, a clerk, were charged with stealing £795, the property of the New Zealand Government. They were ordered to be returned to New Zealand in the custody of Detective Hamilton. reformed upper house.. THE BALLOT FOR ELECTION. SYDNEY, November 3. (Received Nov. 4, at 0.15 a.m.) A ballot is now proceeding for the election of the reconstituted Legislative Council of New South Wales. It is creating the greatest interest in political circles, but the result is not expected to be known for a week. TRADE AGREEMENT BILL. ALL STAGES PASSED. CANBERRA' November 3. (Received Nov. 4, at 0.15 a.m.) In the House of Representatives the New Zealand Trade Agreement Bill passed all stages on the voices. Mr Fenton said he regretted that New Zealand was not represented in the Commonwealth Parliament as both countries had much in common, and there was great need for greater unity with the Dominion.
