A RARE DISEASE

A rare disease was mentioned at the inquest at Manchester recently on Gladys Brown, of Blackley. She had been engaged as a hairdresser and tintcr, but about 12 mouths ago her suffered. It was stated that death was due to congestion of the liver caused by the absorption of some substitute of the benzine scries. All the dyes used, it was added, contained benzine or a derivative, and they could be absorbed through the skin or by breathing. A verdict of accidental death was returned. No blame was attached to her firm.
