AMATEUR ATHLETICS

DUNEDIN LADIES’ CLUB. A meeting of lady athletes interested in the re-forming of the Dunedin Ladies’ Amateur Athletic Club was held at the Caledonian Ground on Thursday night. The president of the Otago Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association (Mr E. L. Macassey) presided. Considerable enthusiasm was shown, and the following officers were elected:— President, Mrs M'Naughton; vice-presi-dents, Mrs Batchlor and Mrs Rout; secretary and treasurer, Miss Sybil Morton; committee —Misses C. Batchlor, R. Chenells, A. Davey, B. Dick, O. Evans, M. Fairbairn, I. Fogarty, M. Grant, N. Rout, E. Veitch, F. Sutherland, and G. Woodbury.
