GENERAL ELECTIONS

BRITISH COLUMBIA VICTORIA (8.C.), November 1. (Received Nov. 2, at 7 p.m.) General elections will be held on Thursday for 41 seats out of 47, *he other six being postponed because of the death of Mr W. J. Bowser, a candidate for Victoria City. The elections follow two years of political confusion, and unless one party gets a majority over all the others the complexion of the next Government will probably be decided only after prolonged negotiations among the elected members. Mr T. D. Patullo leads the Liberals, who have generally maintained a solid front amid the general confusion.
