ST. PETER’S CHURCH
ANNUAL SALE OF WORK The annual sale of work in aid of the funds of St. Peter’s Church was opened yesterday afternoon. A very attractive display was made, all the stalls being well stocked with a variety of goods which met with a ready sale. One of the features of the sale was a decorated Christmas tree, which displayed a fine array of toys. The sale will be continued until to-morrow night, and entertainments each evening will provide an additional attraction. Last evening Miss Noeline Parker’s pupils appeared, and the pupils of Miss Webster will provide' this evening’s propranime, and to-morrow evening a play will be presented by Miss Muriel Eager’s pupils. The stalls are under the charge of the following: —Cake—Mesdames Flinders, Saxon, and Jordan; produce— Mesdames Wakefield, M'Laghcn, Seymour, Hill, Linden, Marshall, and Miss James) Ladies’ Guild—Mesdames Hinton, Tyne, Hamer, and Perry; Christmas trees, Mrs Titchener, and Miss Pearce; Girls’ Guild, Miss Butler and assistants; half-crown —Mesdames Colston, Bott. Parker, and assistants; tea rooms —Meadames Isaacs, Wilton, and Friend; sweets, Mrs Andrews and Miss Blyth; flower —Mesdames Wallace, Anderson, Misses Pyke, and Fountain. Members of the vestry are in charge of the men’s stall, and the side shows are under the control of the Boys’ Club.
