PHYSICAL CULTURE
The very close association of efficiency with good health is a fact which nobody will gainsay, and yet there is a surprising number of people who, even in these enlightened times, neglect the development and training of their bodies.' Numberless forms of exercises and systems have been tried, and it is not surprising, in view of its importance, that the matter has become of national interest, more especially in Europe at the present time. The latest Danish systems are intensely interesting, especially in the matter of developing mental and physical coordination, producing grace, deportment, and individual confidence. Four words sum up the aim of this wonderful system —mobility, agility, strength and grace. This year Mr J. V. Hanna has applied Danish principles to his activities at the Dunedin School of Physical Culture, and to show the public what can be achieved ho is staging a performance on Saturday night. This will be the first' time that the Danish system has been shown in Dunedin, and the novelty and unexpectedness of the movements will undoubtedly delight patrons. Items will bo interspersed, and a first class orchestra under the leadership of Mr G. Raffills will provide music during thee evening. Details are advertised in this issue.
