WEALTH UNDER THE GROUND

Immense new reserves of natural wealth found beneath the soil in the Doncaster district, in England, are now being exploited. It is known that underground there are millions of tons of granite, in small pieces suitable for use ns a top cover on roads. As a result of successful tests there is a record demand for this material, and it is probable that an extensive export trade will be developed. After testing this granite on a stretch of several miles the Doncaster Town Council is now using it in many road surfacing improvements. The advantages claimed for this Doncaster granite are that it is practically indestructible and “ non-skid.”
