SPYING BY AIRSHIP
NIGHT FLIGHT OVER; FRANCE A STARTLING STORY. PARIS, November 1. (Received Nov. 1, at 11.55 p.m.) A startling story with regard to a foreign airship of the Zeppelin type spying over France was told by a senior military officer in the Petit Journal. He says that on the nights of August 30 and September 1 it flew over the artillery works at Salsbris and inspected the ground and its searchlights. It must have crossed almost a third of France, flying high and unlighted. ,
