As a rule, broody hens are better for having only hard food—they do not then suffer from diarrhoea: but there are exceptional bens that must have soft food and that suffer from diarrhoea in Its absence. The darkening of the combs Is an indication only of internal trouble. You are advised to see that your birds—the whole flockare not Infected with rod mites or lice.
