RICCARTON TRACK WORK
(Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 1. The weather wals fine for training work at Riccarton, but proceedings were very quiet. The outside course proper was available for fast work, but was not in much request. Minerval, who galloped a mile on Monday and had restricted pace work yesterday, was sent a mile and a-quarter in 2min lOsec, Elude accompanying him in the last mile. Minerval has come on well lately in his Cup preparation. Several other horses worked on the grass, but none galloped seriously. Modt of the horses were’ given steady pacing on the plough or., sand. Yesterday’s arrivals, including Prostration, Bettwsycoed, Eminent, Forestry, Epigram, Aesculus, Coronilla from the north, and Palantua, Blazon, Kapuna, and The Smuggler from .the south, were given useful pacing. Golden Wings, Gipsy Love, Golden Chance, and Brown Betty arrived from the north to-day.
