VITAL STATISTICS The vital statistics for the borough of Port Chalmers for the month of October are as follows:—Births, 7, deaths 2, marriages 2. RAINFALL IN OCTOBER The rainfall in the Port Chalmers district for October, as registered at the Mussel Bay reservoir, was 3.50 inches. Rain fell on 15 days. In October last year the rainfall was 2.30 inches, and there were 14 wet days. COUNCIL CHAMBERS During the past week or two painters have been busy in the Port Chalmers Borough Council Chambers. .The assembly room has received a much-needed fresh coat of paint, and the whole of the interior has been completely r'enovated.
