DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 30. (Received Oct. 31, at 5.5 p.m.)
Improved trade conditions have caused the London and North-eastern Railways to undertake a series of development programmes costing £2,300,000, which include the construction of many additional engines' and vehicles for an extension of fast freight and express passenger traffic.
