THE WEATHER
A fresh south-west wind and fine weather prevailed yesterday. The morning wag sunny, but the sky was overcast in the afternoon. The barometer rose about 15 points and registered 30.25 last evening. . REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, October 31. The weather was dull and threatening during the morning, but fine and sunny after midday. A light breeze was blowing from the south-east. The > barometer continued rising and registered SO.lOin this evening. WELLINGTON, October 31. A cold southerly wind was experienced in the early, morning, the \veather being cloudy and threatening, but before noon the sky cleared. and thereafter the day was fine and sunny. i • CHRISTCHURCH, October 31. The weather was fine to-day, the sun shining from a cloudless sky. A light south-west wind was blowing. The maximum temperature was 58 degrees. The barometer was steady and read 30.17 this evening.
