Carter) went 10 furlongs in 2min Usee, the last five in Imin 6sec, Off Duty (P. Courtney) six in Imin 18sec, Regalson (O. Phillips) and Outback (J. Price) seven in Imin 34sec. Turbine (H. Moran) led Tadema (G. Wennan) over the best mile in Imin 43|sec. Topical and Nord strode a mile and then ran four furlongs in 54Jsec. Carefree (R. Medhurst) did the best six furlongs in Imin 15sec, the first five in Imin 2sec. Elmans (J. Parr) went nine furlongs in 2min Isec, the last mile\ in Imin 46Jsec. Petau (R. Medhurst) and Trivento" (R. Lewis) went 10 in 2imr. I2see, the first four in 50sec and the first mile in Imin 45)sec. On the tan Shadow, after striding, ran four furlongs in 55Jsee, Etlinarch five in Imin 62sec,' Sally’s Robe six in Imin 19sec, Chatham seven in Imin 44sec, Dawnlight a mile in Imin 45)sec, Danilo 10 in 2min ISscc (the last two in 26seo). Inside, on the grass, Motor Gay and Star Last went three furlongs in SOsec. Ashley Reed will ride Saurian in the Derby. ■ . Panjandrum picked up a nail, and is showing lameness. Bold Boy has arrived from Sydney. W. Cox will pilot Greenhorn in the Melbourne Cup. For the gallops at Caulfield the going was good. On the grass Flail (Dempsey) went 10 furlongs in 2iniu llisec (the last mile in Imin 46sec and the last furlong in 13Ascc). Maiden Hair did the best half-mile in 4!).}sec, and Lady Syghton and Snowacre went a mile in Imin 4(isec, Streperus a mile in Imin 44)scc, Count Ito and Chief Mate seven in Imin 31sre. Yltewirra easily defeated Sea Rover over 10 furlongs in 2min lUsec. Veridique went five in Imin 3.|sec, Segati 10 in 2min Waltzing Nellie and Picardy four in 50scc. On the course proper Peter Jackson and Glide Away went 11 in 2rain 34scc. Blixten, Burlesque, and Maltdale, finishinf jn that older, went 10 in 2min 131scc, Gaine Carrington and MiramoiTd 10 in 2min 14sec. Parkwood beat Rulanut and Perpetua over 10 in 2rain lOsec. Rogilla covered 10 easily in 2min 24scc.
