(Received Oct. 13, at 5.5 p.m.) The champion jockey, Gordon Richards, rode five consecutive winners at the Newmarket race meeting to-day. His total for the season is now only 20 behind Fred Archer’s record of 246. Five of the six starters in the historic four miles race for the Newmarket Town Plate were ridden by women, and the winner, Journey’s End, was ridden by Miss Gladys Waldron.
