SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services at Knox Church. In the evening he will speak; on “ John Calvin.” The junior choir will render special music at the morning service. Young, People’s Day will be observed at First Church to-morrow, when the Rev. W. Allen Stevely will conduct the services. His subject in the morning will be “The Art of Being Kind.” The scholars of Russell street and Centra], Sunday schools will occupy the centre seats. The evening subject will he “Foundations of Faith.” Dr V. E. Galway will be the organist.

The Rev. H. E. Bellhouse will conduct both services in Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow. In the evening his subject will be “The Great Hours of Life.” Miss Phyllis West will be the soloist and the choir will render the anthem “The Lord Is My Strength.” The “Hallelujah Chorus” (Handel) and “Creation Hymn” (Beethoven) will be rendered by the choir at the evening service at the Moray Place Congregational Church. Mies Doris Haworth and Miss Jess M'Millan will sing “ Come Unto Him ” and “He Shall Feed His Flock ” respectively, and the Rev. Albert Mead will give a talk on “ Every Morning is Glorious if it Begins With a Vision of God.” He will also conduct the morn-, ing service.

The Rev. L. B. Neale is giving a series of special Sunday night addresses at the Methodist Central Mission, Octagon Hall, on various subjects of modern problems. The subject to-morrow night will he “ Homo.” Soloist, Miss Noni Davidson.

The Rev. E. S. Tuckweil will conduct both services at the Hanover street Baptist Church. The morning subject will be “ The Mote and the Beam,” and the evening subject “We Would See Jesus.” In the evening there will he the hymn study, “ Christ Receiveth Sinful Men,” and the solo, “Lead, Kindly Light,” by Miss M. Shrimpton.

The services at the Salvation Army, Dowling Street Fortress, will be conducted by Staff Captain J. H. Nelson, Dunedin divisional secretary. In the afternoon ho will give a lecture entitled “ Hidden Truths in Chinese Characters,” illustrated by blackboard sketches. At the Theosophical Society there will be an address on “ The Law of Correspondence ” by Miss C. Dalziel.

First Church of Christ Scientist will conduct services in Allbell Chambers, 15-1 Stuart street, to-morrow. The subject for the morning and evening services will be “ Doctrine of Atonement."

Mr H. W. Brohn will speak on “ Paul’s Great Commission ” at the evening service at the York Place Hall to-morrow evening.
