FAMOUS HERD SOLD KING AMONG THE BUYERS. LONDON, September 26. Sir James Corner Berry’s famous herd of beef Shorthorn, sold by auction at Pendley Farm, revealed an astonishing fall in prices compared with 1930. Sixty-two lots totalled 2363gn5. The highest price was 200gns for the leader of the herd, Pendley Lord Ramsden, which was sold to Australia, Its sire, Basildon Rosicrudan, was sold to Australia in 1930 for 2000gns. Many magnificent cows and heifers were sold from lOgns to 25gns apiece, of which some were bought for the King’s herd at Windsor. *
