’ Burnside, .September 27. r'Fat Cattle.—There Vras a yarding of 215 head. The entry was a very mixed one containing a greater proportion of light and unfinished cattle than usual, with a few consignments of prime quality bullocks, and an odd pen- of choice heifers. The sale opened with prices showing a rise ,bf, 10s per-head for all grades, but after the first .race a further . improvement was shown, particularly for cows and 'heifers, whicih were in short supply. Although a slight easing was’ noticeable at the close, prices on-the average' could be quoted 15s' to 25s better than last sale’s rates. Fat Sheep.—Prime and medium wethers were again in preponderance in a'yarding of 1800, which also included-some excellent quality ewes. Buyers had a good selection from which to choose require ments, but owing to outside competition values did not vary much compared with last sale. Ewes could be quoted firm, and wethers par to Is easier on the average, the sale being a fairly even one through out.
