Gibson, railway traffic manager. travelled by yesterday's express to Christchurch. He will return to Dunedin on Saturday. , A British Official Wireless message from Rugby states that the King approved ' the conferment of a baronetcy upon Sir Percy Greenaway on his retirement from the Lord Mayoralty of London, and knighthoods upon Aldermen C. H. Collett and W. L. Threlford, retiring sheriffs. Mr W. Anderson, of Wellington, who has been on a business visit to Invercargill and Dunedin, left by yesterday’s express for the north. , Mr F. W. Johnston, of Christchurch, president o£ the South Island Motor Union, and Dr Porritt, of Wanganui,, on behalf of the North Island Motor Union, arrived yesterday, to represent their respective organisations at the twenty-first annual meeting of the Otago Motor Club. The congregation of the Onebunga Presbyterian Church has decided to approach the Auckland Presbytery* and. urge that the Rev, D. D. Scott, their minister, and moderator of the Presbyterian Church in New Zealand, should be allowed to continue at Onehunga. Mr Scott has received a call \to Khandallah, Wellington, and, in a statement to the congregation, he expressed the view that it was his duty to accept the call to Khandaliah.
