HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE

"THE NEW REVEILLE" " The New Reveille," which is being staged at His Majesty's Theatre by Mr W. Lints on behalf of the Plunket Society, was witnessed again, last night by a large audience. The programme is a lengthy one, and lias many features to commend it. Special mention should be made of the ballets, and the manner in which they are performed reflects credit on Mr Lints, who arranged the dance numbers and song scenas. A ballet 6f 14 is responsible for " Harvest Moon." " The Dance of the Flames," and " When Your Hair Has Turned to Silver." Miss Anita Winkel has the solo role in " Shuffle off to Buffalo," and Mr E. Ottrey, Mr Bain, Miss Tui Salt, and little Joyce Smith and Irene Scott take the leading parts in other specialties. The Scarecrow Ballet has another very successful item, the 13 young ladies, with Miss Bertha Harker as the solo performer, giving a finished display. Comedy sketches are presented by Miss Dessa Stabb, Miss Sylvia Alexander, Miss Dorothy Scoullar, Mr Ewing Stephenson, and Mr E. Coughey, and Miss Daphne Murdoch and Miss Penny Marshall are seen in distinctive turns. The orchestra is in charge of Mr Arthur Frost, and it plays no small part in the success of the entertainment. " The New Reveille" will be staged again this evening and until Tuesday of next week. There will be a matinee performance on Saturday afternoon.
