For 18 years Mrs Irving followed the stage as a career, creating the role of Trilby at the Hay market in 1895. She left the stage in 1912 and from that date was actively associated with infant welfare work. ALICE MURIEL WILLIAMSON (United Press Association.) - (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, September 26. (Received Sept. 25, at 10 p.m.) The death is announced of the novelist, Alice Muriel Williamson. She was found unconscious in an hotel at Bath, and attempts to revive her failed. She left a note for the coroner. Alice Muriel Williamson was born in Virginia, America. In collaboration with her husband she wrote many novels, including "Scarlet Runner," "Set In Silver," " The Love Pirate," " Secret History," and " The War Wedding." Her principal publications after the death of her husband were " The Indian Princess," "The Man Himself," "Alice In Movieland," and "The Inky Way."
