ARAB BANDITS

AIRCRAFTSMAN BAILED UP THREE ARRESTS MADE. CAIRO, September 24. Four Arab bandits bailed up Aircraftsman John Howard when he was walking with his fiancee, Miss Tippert, near Heliopolis. Howard grappled with one, and another fatally wounded him with a shotgun. Three. arrests were made, one of whom Miss Tippert identified.

Howard's father was killed during the war on Gallipoli.
