OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
UNIQUE FEAT IN FINAL.
LONDON, September 24. A feat unique in championship golf was performed by Eric Fiddian, playing . Jack M'Lean in the final of the Irish Open Championship, at Newcastle (County Down). He twice holed out in one in the first round. He holed a tee shot at the.seventh (128 yards). He again holed a tee shot at the fourteenth (208 yards). Nevertheless, M'Lean retained the title, 3 and 2.
